Easy Leak Checklist...- First, make sure it's a leak by comparing the amount of water lost to the average evaporation rates in your area. If it's greater than expected, presume there's a leak somewhere. - Check the stream and waterfalls. Don't forget, that's where 99% of leaks occur. - If that fails, turn off the pump that runs your waterfall and keep an eye on the water level. When it stops dropping, you'll have a good idea whether it's in the plumbing, filter, or liner. - If the water drains all the way out of your pond, then odds are you have a bottom drain and that's the cause of the leak. |
