Avoiding the Classic Do It Yourselfer Mistakes...- Do your research - There are a lot of different water garden products available now. Read up on them and learn the "pros and cons." Talk to other pond owners who have installed water features themselves and learned from their mistakes. - Build it bigger - The biggest complaint of many pond owners all over the country is that they wish they had built a bigger water garden. Build your water feature as big as you can afford, and fit the space that you have. Remember, it doesn't cost a lot more to build it bigger --usually just the cost of the liner --and it cost a lot more to re-do the water garden later. - Start with a kit - Buying your pond equipment in the form of a kit assures that you'll have all the necessary parts when you begin your project. Nothing is more frustrating than starting any project and finding that you don't have everything that you need. |
